Business & corporate language training
Language that holds up in the room, on the call and over dinner.
Bespoke business language training in London and online, for executives, client-facing teams and companies with offices abroad. Your tutor is selected from our specialist network and matched to your sector, your programme is written against the situations you actually face, and progress is reported to whoever signs it off.
Why companies come to us
A consultancy, not a training marketplace.
Most corporate language training is bought as a commodity: a platform, a level, a course book, a licence per head. It rarely survives contact with a real diary, and it almost never produces someone who can hold their own in the meeting that mattered.
We work the other way round. Maria, our founder, speaks to every client, defines the objective with them, and chooses the tutor herself — by language, by sector and by temperament.

Our tutor selection and matching is reviewed by The Good Schools Guide, and Learn&Co is a member of The Tutors' Association.
A specialist chosen from our network for the job
Every tutor in our network is interviewed and selected by us before they ever meet a client. For your brief we then match by sector as well as by language: a tutor who has worked with lawyers is not the tutor we send to a trading floor. You meet them before anything is committed.
A brief before a single lesson
We start with what the person has to do in the language — chair the meeting, present to the board, negotiate the contract, handle the site visit — and write the objectives down. The programme is built backwards from that list.
Built around diaries that move
Lessons are scheduled around the working week and rescheduled when the working week wins. Online, at your offices or at ours, early mornings and evenings included.
Reporting that satisfies the budget holder
Monthly written progress reports from the tutor, attendance visible, and a founder-led check-in at week six to confirm the programme is doing what it was bought to do. L&D never has to ask how it is going.
Step one
What does this person need to do in the language?
Not a level. A list of situations. That list becomes the written objectives of the programme, and everything else — tutor, material, pace, reporting — is decided from it.
Meetings and calls
Following a fast conversation, interrupting politely, holding your position when the discussion turns.
Presenting
Delivering to a room or a screen, handling the questions afterwards, and sounding like yourself while you do it.
Negotiation
Precision under pressure: conditions, caveats, numbers, and the difference between a firm no and a polite one.
Industry vocabulary
Legal, financial, insurance, property, pharmaceutical, luxury, energy — the terminology of your sector, sourced from your own documents.
Client relationships
Small talk, hospitality, dinners and the social language that decides whether the business relationship survives the deal.
Relocation and posting
Landing in a new country able to work, manage a team and run a life — including the administrative language nobody teaches.
Written business language
Email register, reports, proposals and the tone that reads as competent rather than translated.
Interviews and internal moves
Preparing for an assessment, an interview or a certification in the language, against a fixed date.
Step two
Two ways to buy it.
Bespoke, when the objective belongs to one person or one team. A small-group business term, when several people need the same professional language at the same time.

Every private plan, whichever you choose, includes
Bespoke programmes — not lesson bundles.
- A specialist matched to your sector
- Objectives agreed in writing before lesson one
- Material drawn from your own documents and meetings
- Monthly written reporting and a week-six review
All prices include VAT. Every programme is quoted after the discovery call, once the objective, the number of learners and the frequency are clear. We invoice companies directly and can work to purchase orders.
How it runs
From first call to week six, and beyond.
Discovery call
Twenty minutes with Maria to establish who is learning, what they must be able to do, by when, and who needs to see the results.
Needs analysis and level check
Each learner is assessed properly. Objectives are written down and agreed — in language a budget holder can read.
Tutor matching
We match by language, sector and temperament from tutors already selected into our network, with Maria overseeing it — and you meet them before you commit.
Programme design
Material is built from your world: your documents, your meetings, your clients' accents and your industry's vocabulary.
Delivery around the diary
Weekly lessons online, at your offices or at ours, with a rescheduling policy that assumes business travel exists.
Reporting and the week-six check-in
Monthly written reports from the tutor, and a founder-led review at week six to adjust the pace, the objectives or the tutor.

Questions
Before you brief us.
- How is this different from a corporate language school or an online marketplace?
- A marketplace sells you access to a list; a school sells you a level and a course book. We are a consultancy: we have built and vetted our own specialist tutor network, match each learner to it individually, write the programme against your objectives and stay involved once it is running. The matching and the programme design are human judgement, not automation.
- Our executives travel constantly. Will the programme survive that?
- It is built for it. Lessons run online wherever the learner is, sessions can be rescheduled, and the programme is designed in monthly blocks rather than fixed weekly slots so travel does not break the rhythm.
- How do we prove the return on the investment?
- Objectives are agreed in writing at the start, so progress is measured against tasks the business cares about rather than an abstract level. You receive monthly written progress reports and a founder-led review at week six, and CEFR levels are tracked where a formal benchmark is required.
- Can you train a whole team, or several offices?
- Yes. We run one-to-one programmes, closed in-company groups and small-group business terms, in nine languages, and coordinate them across locations with a single point of contact and consolidated reporting.
- Do you teach business English to international teams?
- Yes — business English is one of our most requested programmes, for professionals relocating to the UK and for international teams working in English. It is taught the same way: objectives first, tutor matched by sector.
- What does it cost, and is VAT included?
- Bespoke executive one-to-one is bought in hours: 4 hours at £120/hr (£480) month to month, 12 hours at £114/hr (£1,368), 24 hours at £108/hr (£2,592) and 48 hours at £102/hr (£4,896) used within up to twelve months. Business group terms are £950 per person for ten weeks at A1–A2, £1,050 at B1–B2 and £1,150 at C1–C2. All figures include VAT. Every programme is quoted after the discovery call.
- Can you invoice the company and work with procurement?
- Yes. We invoice companies directly, work to purchase orders where required, and can provide the documentation, insurance and safeguarding information procurement teams usually ask for.
- Which languages can you teach for business?
- All nine: French, Spanish, English, German, Italian, Portuguese, Mandarin, Japanese and Russian. If you need a language outside those, ask — our network extends beyond the core nine and we will tell you honestly whether we can staff it well.
