Léa's Background

Originally from Bordeaux, France, my teaching expertise extends across various proficiency levels. I’ve had the privilege of teaching both French and English to a wide range of students, including a 65-year-old doctor seeking to learn English and scholars pursuing Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge University. My ‘agrégée’ status as an English teacher in France, coupled with a master’s degree from the Ecole Normale Supérieure, equips me with a profound understanding of language teaching and learning challenges.

As both an actor and teacher, I aim to alleviate the fear of making mistakes—a common obstacle in language learning. We have been experts in the online language tutoring experience for many years, and were delivering online one-to-one and small group lessons long before the pandemic put a stop to in-person classes. We understand that some students have doubts about learning with online language tutors, but with such glowing feedback and the majority saying they prefer taking the classes from the comfort of their own home, we are confident that your learning journey will be nothing but positive. And fun!

How long it takes you to master French will depend on various factors. These include your natural ability to learn, your language learning experience, your level of focus, how much time you spend with your French tutor, and how much homework you can take on.

 

The most important factors are how many hours you are willing to commit to practising. Speaking and writing French regularly will help you pick up the language faster.

Homework is a key part of your French lessons and your overall language learning journey, so you will definitely need to factor time in every week. 

 

Homework offers a range of benefits, from the chance to review what you’ve learnt, to expanding your knowledge and helping you develop a deeper understanding of the various aspects of the language. 

 

Through regular homework, you will find your French language skills develop faster. So be sure to allow at least 90 minutes per week for homework and French vocabulary revision.

We provide a variety of services, from GCSE and A Level online French lessons to French revision camps, and from adult to corporate French tuition. We also offer taster classes and intensive courses.
